Get yourself into doula business
After years of enquiries Doula Academy is finally offering a chance to become a doula in English. This intensive course gives you a good base to support diverse families with their diverse birthing plans and birth philosophies. However, this intensive course doesn´t certify you but you will of course get a certificate of attendance when all course work has been handed in.
For Finnish speakers I highly recommend the certification programme (300 hours). This course is primarily meant for non-Finnish folks.

All material, literature and classes are in English. Written course work can be handed in in English, German, Swedish and Finnish.
The price of the course
700 € + VAT 25,5 % (totaling 815,75 €)
The amount can be paid in three parts. Please ask a more flexible payment plan at no extra cost!
The reservation fee 100 € + VAT is non-refundable.
The group size is 3-6 and participants will be notified in advance in case not enough people signed up. In that case the reservation fees will of course be returned.
In this course we follow Doula Academy´s safer space guidelines.
About your doula educator
Anna-Riitta Kässi is an experienced doula and doula educator with over 40 births and 78 educated doulas in the past 10 years. They founded Finnish Doula Academy in 2018 to challenge old conventions of doula training and to bring equity and inclusivity as part of doulas´ basic knowledge and understanding in order to serve birthing people. They started their working career as an English and German teacher and after their first birth they were drawn to the world of birth and sexuality. Anna-Riitta is a certified doula, authorized sexuality educator, sex therapist and coach. They educate and mentor you with all their knowledge and wisdom, kindness and laughter, so you can have the best possible kick off for your doula career.
